Clinical Neuropsychologist
Nijashree (Nij) Shah is a Clinical Neuropsychologist Registrar holding a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Clinical Neuropsychology from Macquarie University. AHPRA registered and an APS member, she has demonstrated exceptional expertise in neuropsychological assessments for developmental disorders, including autism, ADHD and specific learning disorders, as well as adult assessments to assist with management and diagnosis of traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases (e.g dementia), and post-stroke cognitive impairments.
Currently, Nij provides specialised neuropsychological services at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, specialising in capacity assessments, NDIS support applications, and managing acquired brain injury (ABI) conditions like dementia, post-stroke, and substance-related cognitive impairments.
Her previous roles include research at the Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney with two publications exploring Positive Behaviour Support training for aged care staff supporting residents with dementia. Committed to serving vulnerable and culturally diverse communities, Nij strives to provide accurate and inclusive neuropsychological assessments.
Outside of her professional pursuits, she finds energy and inspiration in her love for coffee and pilates.
